I know that growing up I did not appreciate or understood why my father emphasised the importance of reading so much. Once my teenage years came around I read a book that got me hooked on reading; Sister Souljah’s “The Coldest Winter”. After reading this book I couldn’t stop. Reading became one of my favourite things to do and autobiographies my favourite genre. By now I understand why reading mattered so much to my father as it continues to enlighten me in many different ways. Reading has giving me the tools to navigate through live. It has given me language, perspective and understanding. Waldemar Publishing an attempt to bring this same enlightenment or something meaningful to the readers. It's also a thank you to my father so in his honour, I press with purpose.
